Network Engineer Role & Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with customers to deliver the highest level of Networking and Infrastructure support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Gaining exposure to the management and troubleshooting of complex Cisco, Juniper, and/or Aruba LAN, WAN, and WLAN products across core networking, Layer 2 and 3 environments.
  • Shadowing and working alongside Senior Network Specialists and Architects on project implementations.

 

Skills & Experience Required for the Network Engineer Role

As a Network Engineer, you will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of the latest technology and software from some of the largest global vendors. The business does, however, ask that you have:

  • CCNA or JNCIA level knowledge. Whilst the certification is not required, experience working at that level is essential.
  • A background in Cisco LAN, WAN, and WLAN is a must.
  • Experience working with FortiGate, Palo Alto, and other equivalent security vendors is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation abilities in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
