A fast-growing IT Managed Service Provider who deliver to a variety of market sectors are looking for a Network Engineer to join their team on a hybrid and flexible basis, based in their state-of-the-art office in London, 3 days a week.

Meaning you will be working with cutting-edge tech solutions, while having full support with training to get you up to speed in any areas you need.

 

Network Engineer Role Overview

As a Network Engineer you will be the focal point for the Managed Service Provider, looking after the full Network Enterprise Site.

You will have full ownership and the main responsibilities in the role will be identifying, diagnosing, managing, and resolving incidents, minimising the impact of any network outage and customer downtime. You will be expected to ensure that customer SLA’s are achieved for all services using Network Monitoring and end-to-end Incident Management processes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Network Monitoring, Incident Management, Incident Diagnosis, and Incident Resolution within SLA.
  • Customer facing proactive support.
  • Project support.
  • Provide regular updates to ticketing systems whilst progressing incidents through to resolution.
  • Keep abreast with new network technology supported by the Support Centre.

 

Skills and Experience Required for the Network Engineer Role

The business will support you to work in a hybrid and flexible environment, with increased flexibility based on your requirements. The business does ask that you have/are:

  • CCNP or CCNA level Network Engineer.
  • Experience of working within a Network Management or Operations Centre environment.
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Networking Principals – OSPF, BGP etc.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Experience of trouble-ticketing systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • LAN and WAN troubleshooting skills.
