Job Title: Network Automation Engineer

Location: London (3 days a week)

Salary: Up to £75,000

 

The Company

Due to continued success and team expansion, a world-renowned Managed Service Provider is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join their team and work with large Financial Enterprise clients.

The company is advancing its client services by automating firewall and policy pipelines within their Data Centre environments. They are now looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer to play a key role in this critical project.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Network Automation Engineer, you will work within the project team to oversee the design, scripting and build of a Security policies. You’ll also be responsible for managing documentation, and procedures to ensure SLAs are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of Network Security Automation.
  • Focusing on scripting using Python and automation frameworks.
  • Writing and managing code within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues with managed service servers.
  • Ensuring all documentation, policies, and procedures are up to date and aligned with SLAs.

 

Skills & Experience

The business provides flexibility in working style and has an efficient onboarding process to help you integrate into the team and ongoing projects.

You’ll ideally have:

  • UK citizenship (essential for client/project requirements).
  • Strong experience with network automation and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience working in Data Centres, with a focus on networks and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in Python, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
