Network Automation Engineer

Location: Remote – Must be UK based

Contract Length: 3 Month Contract

Day Rate: £450 a day outside of IR35

The Company

Due to the continued success of the business and expansion of their team, an industry-leading and world-renowned IT Service Provider is looking for a Network Automation Engineer to join their team on a remote basis.

The business is a true titan-of-industry, with over 10 million users nationally, including Central Government, leading Internet Providers, and highly Critical Network Infrastructures. Due to the service, they provide, you must be a UK resident.

The business is now looking to advance their services even more by creating Automated Test Frameworks for their Network, and are looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer to join and be an essential part of this project.

Network Automation Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As the Network Automation Engineer, you will join the projects team in overseeing the Architecture, design and build of the new platform. You will also manage all documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure SLA’s are met.

Your additional responsibilities will include:

• Lead the development of Network Test Automation framework.
• Have a core focus on scripting Python and Automated Frameworks
• Write and script code.
• Working with both technical and non-technical staff, as the key point of contact.
• Monitor, investigate, and diagnose any issues with the managed Service servers.
• Ensure SLA’s are met, documentation is correct, and policies and procedures are in place.

Your Skills & Experience

The business will support you to work however is best for you and has an efficient onboarding process to help you get stuck into the projects and team you work on. The business does ask that you have:

• Must have UK citizenship.
• Previous experience working in a Telco Environment.
• Experience working on Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• Previous experience scripting with Python.
• Strong experience in Automation and testing.
