Location: Baienfurt, Near Ravensburg, Germany

Salary: €70,000 – €80,000

The Company

A leading international business in their field are seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join their established and growing team based in Baienfurt, near Ravensburg.

The business is part of a multi-billion-euro, international organisation that employs more than 80,000 employees in over 200 locations around the globe. They are now looking to invest in their Infrastructure team, with an experienced networks professional who can support their business as they continue to expand.

They are looking for a candidate, with experience in either Systems Engineering or Network Engineering, to assist with both Systems Administration (50%) and Network Administration (50%).

IT Network and Systems Engineer Role & Responsibilities

As Network and Systems Engineer your work will be split across support and maintenance, and project delivery, giving you variety in your work. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Maintenance and further development of LAN, WLAN and DC Network infrastructure based on Cisco and Palo Alto.
• DC site builds, migrations and deployments.
• Manage and maintain network across 8 sites.
• Ensuring and maintaining high availability environments at all locations.
• Planning and implementation of Network and security projects.
• 2nd/3rd level support when necessary.
• Installation, maintenance and implantation of applications.
• Updates and analysis of Applications including patch management.
• Administration and maintenance of Windows server.
• Adding new VM’s to the infrastructure.

Skills and Experience Required for the IT Network and Systems Engineer

• Experience with Systems Administration (minimum 3 years exp) or Network Administration (minimum 3 years), and they are happy to train on either, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills.
• Network experience (Cisco based, LAN and WLAN).
• Experience with Palo Alto (other firewall experience will be considered).
• Experience with Applications.
• Experience with Windows Server.
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication in German and English is essential.
