The Role & Responsibilities

As Head of Technical Operations, you will oversee the organisation’s technical operations, ensuring all systems, networks, and IT services run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. You’ll lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and implement strategies that align with business goals. This role is ideal for a leader with a blend of technical expertise and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical operations teams, including IT, network, and technical support.
  • Develop and execute technical strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee uptime and performance of OSS/BSS systems, network devices, and IT infrastructure.
  • Manage change processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Use data-driven insights to forecast operational needs and improve performance.
  • Ensure escalated customer issues are resolved promptly and within SLA.
  • Manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimise operational expenses.

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in technical operations, IT infrastructure, or systems engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and data centre management.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire diverse technical teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Skilled in managing contracts and SLAs with external vendors.
  • Capable of developing and executing technical strategies in a dynamic environment.
