Day Rate: 400 per day

Dynamic Search are working with one of the leading connectivity providers in Europe who have over 500 clients across the UK. The business is currently hiring a Network Engineer on an initial 6-month contract to support a large data centre migration.

As the Network Engineer, you will work remotely with the senior engineers, and support them with the migration of their customers from one data centre to another. You may be required to attend the site from time to time in Reading, and so must be located in the UK.

 

Network Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As the Network Engineer, you will work within the projects team working on migration of the customers IP-SEC. You will work alongside senior members of the team helping to deliver on the project on time and also manage all documentation, to ensure processes are logged.

Your additional responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with the customer to ensure processes are in place for the migration.
  • Migrate the customers IP-SEC
  • Configure and test the network to ensure the migration is complete.
  • Assist with provisioning.
  • Document and log all work.

 

Skills & Experience

The business will support you to work how is best for you in a remote role, with only occasional travel to client site. The business does ask however, that you have:

  • An in-depth understanding of Data Centre design.
  • A strong understanding of Route and Switch Networking.
  • Previous experience migrating multiple IP-SEC connections.
  • Previous experience working within the connectivity space would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with Cisco or Juniper.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical, and non-technical staff.
