Cloud Lead Architect / Practice Lead – Azure, Cloud, xaaS, Architecture, Solutions Architecture

This role will see you at the forefront of cloud technology.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership – Act as a Practice Lead, heading up the Cloud vertical, you will lead and develop this functions go to market strategy, championing cloud within the business and to external stakeholders
• Solution Development – working with key vendors to develop product offerings for key clients, working on increasing annuity revenue from cloud and managed services
• Consultancy – Lead customer engagement, you will capture requirements from key clients, understand problems and challenges within their specific industry, defining solutions to overcome them engagement phase working with customer’s senior and technical teams to close a sale.
• Discovery & Assessment – working with clients to collect, document and assess key data sets prior to architecting solutions for customers.
• Complex System Architecture – You will work within the Cloud Development team designing and building complex Microsoft-based cloud solutions incorporating all aspects of Azure IaaS and PaaS, Office 365 and Microsoft Server technologies.
• Cloud Architecture Documentation – As part of the Cloud Development Team, you will be responsible for documenting customer cloud solution architectures including HLDs and LLDs including chosen configuration, IP ranges, server specifications and administrator and service account information.
• Oversee Delivery – As a senior, architect level, technical resource you will be responsible for handing cloud solution architectures over to delivery function who will build and deploy complex cloud solutions.

The Person

• Ability to demonstrate experience of working in a similar capacity within a consultancy or managed service provider
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, you will work with CIO’s to CEOs, whilst having the ability to converse with junior members of the team
• Strong product knowledge of Microsoft cloud services technologies
• Keen cloud expert, keeping abreast of latest technologies and roadmapping new services and solutions to market
• You will be accountable for the development of new solutions and services
• Excellent documentation and design skills
• Microsoft Azure Architectures and Deployments
• Technical Design and Documentation
• Strong understanding of legacy infrastructure technologies
• Application Virtualisation (RDS, VMware, Citrix etc)
• Cloud platform knowledge and experience
• Experience in customer facing architecture

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Architect or Lead Architect / Head of, to put their own stamp on a company’s cloud strategy. This has an opportunity to move into a Head of or Director capacity in the future.
