The Company

An award-winning Managed Service Provider (MSP) is looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to work out of their easily accessible office in Watford. This role will require some travel to client site also.

The business works across SME to large enterprise project delivery, primarily working with multiple vendors, including Cisco, VMWare, and Microsoft. They work with the latest technologies from these vendors, including Modern Workplace, Azure and Intune.

The business also has a focus on supporting their employees to upskill and progress in their careers, offering support with earning certifications form industry leading vendors such as Cisco, VMWare and Microsoft.

 

1st Line Support Engineer Role Overview

As 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be a key part of the team, focussing directly on Support and Troubleshooting of Infrastructure Technologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first Point of contact for all support tickets.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows Servers, virtualisation tools, and storage, working with multiple key vendors.
  • Deliver infrastructure support services across SME and large enterprise sites.
  • Manage incoming support tickets, whilst also working proactively.
  • Provide regular professional, frequent and relevant customer communication.
  • Delivery support and delivery of Microsoft OS, Servers, Virtualisation, storage, backup, and cloud.

 

Skills / Experience required for the First Line Support Engineer

  • 2 years’ experience working in an Infrastructure Support based role.
  • Experience working with Windows Server, VMWare, Cloud, and storage.
  • Knowledge of Intune and Azure.
  • Ideally have Managed Service experience.
  • Strong storage experience or understanding.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
