The Company

A leading UK communications and services provider is going through a large investment and expanding their fibre footprint. They hold multiple awards and deliver some of the world’s best broadband services to local businesses. They deliver across residential, business, and wholesale providers UK wide. With large-scale Cloud deployments and other next-gen technology solutions, large-scale multi-million-pound projects are of abundance.

 

The Role

The Service Manager will be a key part of the team, with a focus on delivering large-scale projects and business consultation across the business. There are a number of transformation projects and consolidation projects underway, with a key focus on process mapping, Programme Management, and Product Management.

 

Service Manager Overview

  • Deliver process mapping and workshops
  • Programme and Project manage multi-million-pound projects
  • Have a key understanding of technology, ideally within the cloud but predominantly an understanding of technology and telecommunications
  • Deliver to transformation projects and consolidation services
  • Calculating budgets, managing projects, and delivering detailed documentation

 

Skills / Experience required for the Service Manager

  • MUST be UK based
  • 2 years experience working in an IT environment: Telco, Managed Services or SP
  • 5 years experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Certified ideally in Agile, Prince 2, SCRUM master, etc
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders, senior management, and a variety of customers
  • Ability to articulate both verbally and in writing
